SAT Now!

Wao..i week just past like that..it was so fast. I just did my homeworks everyday..then sleep! thats all! and now regretting for wasting my time. So now i take back my old concept or theory, "the time you study, study your maximum, the time you wanna play, play maximum"Yeah! that was my secret of peceful live before this. I was shocked this morning cuz i have only 30 more days for my sat exam and i have to improve my CR mark from 510 to 800..wao..easy! Just do it for fun. Seriously i want to do it for fun.

Sat for fun!

Erm erm.. after thinking for too long (4 weeks) i came to a temporary conclusion that Sat is just for fun. I got to know that even if i do average for my Sat for the 1st time and the second time, it doesnt matter because i can go to US in the second year. Thats still a big deal for me eventhough it is not ATU or Ivy league. And our sensai oso told that going to Us itself is a big deal. So, now i have reduced the pressure due to SAT, i can relax.

WAAAAIIIITT. That doesn't mean i give up or i dun wanna study for SAT. I just feel relaxed because this time I really know that SAT is just for fun. Yeah i wanna do it for fun. To check back my past skills and to proove to myself what i can do in this one month. Check whether i am capable of getting high marks or not. Investigate whether i am ready for university lesson or still in spm level. Yeah, thats wat i wanna do in SAT. Juz do for fun and no pressure! Sorry sensai !! if i got less marks! HEHEHE!

SAT words

OH YA! I wanna share something about SAT critical reading. To me SAT words are tough and not so common. It's very difficult to complete critical reading section when we don't understand the meaning of the words. So we have to do EDUCATED GUESS or use our COMMON SENSE. I find this helps a lot in conjecturing the meaning of a word by its prefix. These are some examples of prefix.

1. auto- after or later than that
2. bi- between
3. circum- exactly half/partly
4. co- across/changing/between
5. inter- together/sharing

And the word of the day is CONTROVERSIAL.
Find out the meaning for me =D Thanks

MIT guy

Last two weeks a guy from MIT was invited to share his experiences in the States and in MIT.

Imagine I'm the one playing snow in front of MIT =P

He was very humble as he keep on saying that he got into MIT because of his luck but I guess he is a really smart guy. And he mention about a guy in the States - the guy got into Cornell at the age of 16 ( genius >.< )
I talk about this because I found a photo in my phone.

the guy in black is the one from MIT.

BTW, his secret to MIT was play DOTA whenever he is free. I think I must learn from him XD

Independence Day

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MALAYSIA~!

Malaysia is now 52 years old.
This year's independence day is kinda different due to H1N1(damn scary huh?)
All the count downs are canceled. And people don't dare to go out as H1N1 transmitted easily from one to another.
But even if there are any count down events I won't go because it's boring >.<

Well, we should be grateful that Malaysia is great that she sponsored us to UNITEN, and later on to the STATES.

United States wei! MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, bla bla bla.....
Although all these are not my dream school( I prefer UNITEN! HaHa! ) but still, thanks to her because she made me suffer in SAT 1, SAT 2 and TOEFL T_T
In order to enter all those college i mentioned just now, our SATs score must be > 2000 (I guess).
But according to our Mr Trevor, 2000 to him is just nothing because his minimum score will be 2100++++ =.='''
Anyway, NC=Nobody cares. Our SAT is just for fun. Seriously! Lolz.

By the way, I'm still proud to be a Malaysian ( because M'sia is still better than Indonesia, India, Thailand...... -Peace- )

The first encounter.....

It happened on last Wednesday, where all of us had a 1st encounter with our latest enemy, the SAT. We started our first fight and,...hahaha diela...got less than half of the marks in critical reading..hahaha...thats y..i should have remembered that we are not supposed to fight the enemy without knowing its strength and weakness (heard once in dragon ball z) hahaha!...

Here's the simplified plot of what happened that day. It was last wednesday and we were supposed to go to the itms(multimedia center) for Sat critical reading for the 1st day. Straight a way, the teacher asked us to open an application(SAT) and to answer all the question. After reading the 1st question, my definition of SAT changed; from (Sit And Think) to (Suffer All Time). What the hell??? i could not even figure out what the stupid question was trying to ask..afterall it was juz a sentence completion. I do not understand the words in the sentence. The options, there were 5 and fortunately i recognized the meaning of one. (happy) guess what? it wasn't the answer. This thing went around for 1 hour, and i din even get to finish all the questions in time. Eventhough i know it was our 1st time, our marks gave us a very strong confidence. YEAH!!...We are definitely not gonna get even half of the marks in the real exam..thanks for YU JIN!!..for boosting our level of confidence to the infinity...erm erm... i mean negative infinity..The class finished, and our mind kept telling us that it was a dead end.----------------------

According to the lecturer (i prefer teacher), never bother about the mark, it was just the first day. There's still time to improve i guess. OK! Now we know how strong is our enemy after getting a scary experience, its now time for us to scare it away. We have to improve to face this test. Even if it seems impossible, there's nothing wrong to give it a try.....But always remember we are just doing it for FUN...so make it as FUNNY as possible...First of all, we have to think of few techniques or strategies to face this test....So...i think we have to check some resources about that and will post it next week (hope so).
